The Winter Queen

Plenty of new fantasy oriented things are available to shoppers on the Second Life grid thanks to events such as We <3 RP such as this skin from Jalwa for the next round of We <3 RP. I was really inspired by this skin. Something about it prompted me to immediately 'snatch' up the mesh gown from Sn@tch, my go-to store for quality textured goth clothes.

The Red Prince

Catwa has really been stepping up on their mesh releases and 'Bella' is a clear example of why. Many options. So mesh. Very natural texture. Super A+ HUD. Okay, seriously. If you haven't checked out Catwa's new textures, I invite you to do so. The textures still hold a hint of nostalgia to them without being cheap. The Bella hair is an editorial windblown hair perfect for profile photos. My favorite parts are the optional bangs, which come in two different styles.

In case you're wondering why the title is called 'The Red Prince', my roleplay character in SL is a vampire set in the classic World of Darkness SIM called Wendigo Lake. A 'prince' is a gender neutral role, given to any vampire (or a goul!) in a particular territory.

First in Fall

It's official. Autumn is here and rolling into the grid! I love that about Second Life. Where I live in real life there is no such thing as Fall. Chandra and I have been busying ourselves with getting the SIM ready for Autumn and I have been hitting my favorite hotspots for my favorite fashion season. Collabor88 is full of amazing fall items, my favorite being the blouse and skirt combo from Tres Blah.

Picture This!

Awhile ago I had decided it was in my best interest to close my pose store because I wasn't sure I'd have time for it anymore. To be honest, I'm not sure I still have time for it, but missed having it immensely. My blog has been pretty quiet lately because I'm pleased to announce that I, along with my pose making-photograph taking friend Nazeeya Yven, have decided to open Picture This! Poses back on the grid. Stay tuned for a ton of new releases, including "Lift Her Up" as pictured above. I'm so excited to have an inworld location again. Oh blog! I have missed you. With RL being crazy this week and last, I've hardly had a chance to pick up my blog and showcase any grid finds. I even missed my own Storybook Saturday blogger challenge last week. But not this week!

In case you didn't know, FATEwear released two new lines for their FATEplay brand last week. One is a Sailor Fuku themed line; the other is devoted to our favorite characters at Hogwarts. I talked about the Sailor line here in my last post, this week I wanted to talk more about Jenny. Jenny comes in both adult avatar and child avatar sizes, includes a variety of options for wearing the blouse, cardigan, and tie. In addition, there is also a mesh robe that an aspiring wizard can wear over their clothes if they so wish. Also! FATEplay's items are all materials ready.
